Some new members of Langdyke took the opportunity to enjoy a guided walk around the trust’s newest reserve – Christ’s College Reserve. They were shown around by Langdyke’s chair Richard Astle. Further viewings for all members will be announced in the near future.
A small group of hardy Langdyke members braved the rain and wind to enjoy the Trust’s New Year’s Day walk. They visited a number of nature sites in the Castor and Ailsworth area. Walk organiser Mike Horne is planning a summer walk so that participants can see the changes in the landscape.
A reminder that Swaddywell Pit Nature Reserve now has a new car park for people visiting the site. Visitors are urged to use the new area rather than parking through the gates of the Stamford Stone site which are locked outside of working hours.
