If you are visiting one of our reserves please take extra care during this long hot spell which has created tinder dry conditions and increased the risk of fire.
There have been a number of field fires across the area in recent days and all of our sites are obvious risks.
So if you visit please take great care to ensure you don’t do anything that may cause a spark that might set a fire. In particular take care when parking cars which may have hot engines or exhausts.
We have recently installed more fire beaters and rakes at strategic points across all of the reserves. When visiting please memorise where they are situated in the event of a blaze. If you do have to use them please make sure you consider your own safety first.
