A discussion on climate change and its impact on the local area will be one of the highlights of Langdyke’s annual meeting.
The AGM will be held on the evening of Thursday, July 18, starting at 7pm beginning with a barbecue and light refreshments. It is being held in the barn on the Etton High Meadow site.
The business of the evening will follow including an update on Langdyke happenings and finances by chair Richard Astle.
Gemma Birley, who is leading a project on climate change and sustainability for the Peterborough Environment City Trust, will explain what actions are underway locally.
This will be followed by a questions and answer session involving Langdyke board members Richard Astle, Sarah Lambert and Justin Tilley. There will also be an update on Operation Turtle Dove by David Cowcill.
Afterwards there will be an opportunity for members to have a look around the new ponds at High Meadow (main picture, above), see the new viewing platforms at Vergette Meadow or take part in a glow worm walk (weather permitting).
There will also be a display by Langdyke’s Artists in Residence Sarah Lambert and Kathryn Parsons.
There are a limited number of seats in the barn so members are asked to bring their own chairs where possible. Parking is available on site.
