Some new members of Langdyke took the opportunity to enjoy a guided walk around the trust’s newest reserve – Christ’s College Reserve. They were shown around by Langdyke’s chair Richard Astle. Further viewings for all members will be announced in the near future.
A small group of hardy Langdyke members braved the rain and wind to enjoy the Trust’s New Year’s Day walk. They visited a number of nature sites in the Castor and Ailsworth area. Walk organiser Mike Horne is planning a summer walk so that participants can see the changes in the landscape.
Langdyke Chair Richard Astle has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the King’s New Year’s Honours list. The award is in recognition for his work for charity and nature.
