Several events – aimed at providing holiday fun for children – are being planned by the Langdyke events team.
Plans are in hand for an Easter family event at Swaddywell Pit Nature Reserve on Saturday, April 9 between 10am and 12.30.
The event will be similar to the one last year. Activities could include a self-guided walk around the reserve with a range of activities including egg decorating and t bug hunting/sweep netting.

Another event under consideration is a family evening event at Castor Hanglands, hopeful tied in with Natural England’s festival of national nature reserves.
Another event may be held in the summer a Swaddywell. The organisers are looking for volunteers who might be willing to help run the events. More details will be announced shortly.
The events will be supervised, but children will need to have appropriate adults with them.
