The first meeting of the Langdyke Creative Group will be held on Friday September 17 between 10.30-12.30 at Etton High Meadow.
Langdyke Creative is for Langdyke’s adult members who are creative – to meet up with like-minded people ‘en plein air’ in one of the beautiful Langdyke spaces. Members can work on their own projects or be inspired by the beauty of the space they are meeting in to start creating something new.
Organiser Judith Good explained: “As a special treat – for our first meeting we have been given access to Etton High Meadow – a truly wonderful spot with allotments, a pond, sheep, meadows and a heritage fruit orchard – what could be a better spot as the autumnal colours come alive!
“We will meet from 10:30-12:30 on Friday September 17 – the gates will be open so its possible to drive down to the site – especially useful for any artists wishing to bring large canvases or heavy bags of paint! We hope those with all kinds of creative folk will join us from painters to poets to stitchers to photographers and more!
£Please come entirely self-sufficient – bring your creative supplies, a chair, your own refreshments etc and remember there are no toilets, no electricity and no clean water on site – this really is a creating in nature idea! We will be able to shelter in the barn if the weather is unkind but lets keep our fingers crossed for a beautiful (almost) autumnal morning! Charron, Kathryn and Judith look forward to seeing you there!”
