Our newest reserve – Christ’s College Pit – is now open for members to walk around.
In addition there will be a special preview visit to the site with a guided tour on Thursday, September 18 at 6 pm (see events)
Previously visitors had to view the site from one of three viewing platforms. Now sufficient work has been done on the site to allow access to the reserve.
The access is only available to members using the usual Langdyke gate code. Entry can be gained through the gates off the Helpston to Maxey road and members can park their cars just inside if they wish. A warning: the area is a little rough and in wet conditions parking is at your own risk!
Once inside a P-shaped path has been created and marked out with signs allowing members to walk around the site and return to the main gate. Please stick to the path at all times.
Please note also that the access is to the area closest to the Maxey Cut. The land at the other side next to the South Drain is now owned by Langdyke and is not open for access.
