Langdyke’s Swaddywell Pit Nature Reserve has won national recognition for the valuable work done to protect wild orchids.
The award has been made by the Hardy Orchid Society – an organisation which works to support the growth and care for orchids both at home and abroad.
In making the award the society has recognised the value of the work done by the Trust volunteers in maintaining the annual display at the reserve.
Our main picture (above) was taken by Sarah Lambert in June and shows Pyramidal orchids on show at Swaddywell.
