Langdyke’s volunteers who act as first aiders have been learning advanced skills.
The group, already qualified first aiders, were given instruction in dealing with the sort of scenarios that could crop up involving teams working outside in occasionally difficult circumstances.
Langdyke takes health and safety very seriously, both in terms of its volunteers but also visitors. The first aid training is just one aspect of training undertaken. Other volunteers have been trained in the use of power tools like hedge and brush cutters.
