Starlings go on display

The magnificent starling murmurations at Etton Maxey Nature Reserve have been a bit hit and miss so far this winter.

So this Langdyke paper starling display  is guaranteed to impress …

The Langdyke Paper Starling murmuration is now hanging in the North Hide at Etton Maxey Pits. This has been a fun community arts project for Langdyke with lots of different folks involved – young and old.

Just as you can watch the wonderful starlings swooping and diving, whooshing and swirling in their beautiful murmurations – you can also see this alternative paper starling murmuration in the North Hide at Etton Maxey Pit for a couple of weeks  from Saturday  November 29.
It has been put together by Judith Good who is organising an exhibition of arts and crafts next year and is down to Langdykem embers and friends who have decorated the paper starlings over the last few months.
It will be there until mid December.
The north hide is the one nearest to the hard-standing car park and can be accessed through the pedestrian gates.
