Bird event for the family

Langdyke is organising an online chat session giving advice ahead of the RSPB big garden bird watch – with special emphasis on families with young children.

The session is aimed particularly at families with a special fun section on how to identify garden birds for both the young – and not so young!

The online chat is on on Saturday 23rd January at 4pm and is suitable for all members young and old.

Chair Richard Astle will be helping to identify the birds we are likely to see and hear in gardens and there will be a quiz!

Ahead of the session you might want to view this great video – aimed at children – and made in conjunction with the teaching staff at Stamford Endowed Schools.

Here is a copy of the birdwatch identification chart you may find useful.
There are some sections on the website about bird identification here and also details here on how to make a bird feeder.

You can find more details about the birdwatch on the RSPB site here
